Dr Nicola McLernan

Dr Nicola is now fully moving her patient care to Greenwith Family Health. Her last consulting day at Elizabeth Family Health will be 9 November 2026. Patients who wish to continue seeing Dr Nicola can book appointments at Greenwith Family Health.

Dr Nicola McLernan joined Family Health Group in December 2017. Originally from Scotland, she studied Medicine at the University of Sheffield in the UK, graduating in 2008.

Keen for new adventures and tropical medicine experience, she moved to Australia in 2011. She spent two years in the Northern Territory, working in hospitals in Darwin and Katherine, before moving to Adelaide.

She undertook rural GP training in South Australia and obtained Fellowship of the RACGP in 2016.

Dr Nicola enjoys all areas of general practice, with special interests in mental health and dermatology.

She provides comprehensive skin cancer checks and skin excisions, as well as contraceptive implant insertion and removal and care for iron deficiency and anaemia.

She is a registered provider of Focused Psychological Strategies for patients with a Mental Health Care Plan.

Outside of work, she is a keen hockey player, enjoys wine and gin, and loves outdoor adventures with her two children.
