Dr Nicola McLernan

Dr Nicola McLernan joined Family Health Group in 2017 and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals and families of all ages.

Originally from Scotland, Dr Nicola graduated from the University of Sheffield in the UK in 2008 before moving to Australia in 2011. She gained valuable experience working in hospitals across the Northern Territory, including Darwin and Katherine, before completing her rural GP training in South Australia and attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2016.

Dr Nicola enjoys all aspects of general practice and values building long-term relationships with her patients to support their health and wellbeing at every stage of life. She has particular interests in mental health and dermatology and offers comprehensive skin cancer checks, skin excisions, iron infusions, and contraceptive implant insertions and removals.

As a registered provider of Focussed Psychological Strategies, Dr Nicola supports patients with a Mental Health Care Plan, helping them navigate a range of mental health concerns in a supportive and understanding environment.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Nicola enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children, playing hockey, and exploring local food and wine experiences.
