Our specialist GPs are registered with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. All of our doctors undertake continuing professional development.
Our doctors have varied areas of special interests and provide a wide range of services, in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Please note, the Doctors at Family Health Medical Group will not prescribe Schedule 8 Drugs and Drugs of Addiction (including opiates and benzodiazepines) to new patients at their first appointment.
New patients that come to us already established on S4/S8/drugs of dependence will have a review with their new doctor to discuss this treatment. We do not prescribe these drugs at a first appointment and also require access to previous medical records to allow us to discuss if they are appropriate for continuation.
Make a time to come and see one of our health practitioners today.
Extra Medicare benefits are now available to eligible patients who have registered with the Australian Government’s MyMedicare. To register or learn more about how MyMedicare can benefit you, click here.
When registering online, if you cannot find our clinic in the list of medical centres that are registered with MyMedicare, please check back later in the month, as we may still be going through the set-up process in the system.
New Patients
We are currently not able to accept new patients due to being at capacity. We hope to re-open new patient bookings in the very near future.
Please check back soon, or call us on 7485 4000 if you have any queries.
FEES UPDATE
As of 17th July 2023, our fees have increased slightly. There will be a small gap payment on all consults for those who are over the age of 16 and do not have a concession.
Bulk billing will also no longer be available on weekends.
WHY IS THERE A GAP?
The Medicare rebate does not fully cover the cost of providing good quality care. The rebate has been kept at the same level for many years whilst costs have increased much more. Therefore, from 1 January 2023, you will need to pay a gap fee for your consult. Please click here for more information.
