Dr Ben Allen specialises in Knee and Hip replacement surgery, with a special interest in revision knee replacement surgery for metal allergy complications.

He also specialises in Sports knee injuries and ACL reconstruction helping both professional and amateur athletes return to sport, including the Norwood football club. He has a particular interest in managing knee injuries in dance athletes. Ben is passionate about arthritis management of the knee and hip to keep people mobile and active in the community.

Ben spends his spare time enjoying running, bush walking, mountain biking and road cycling and understands the importance of maintaining joint health through a multidisciplinary approach working closely with the Wakefield Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic. He consults and operates at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Wallaroo Hospital and Naracoorte Hospital with additional consulting at Golden Grove.

Dr Rajinder Singh-Rai

Dr Rajinder Singh-Rai trained in the UK and is a graduate of Guys and St Thomas’s medical schools. His basic surgical training was based at London teaching hospitals and resulted in the membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed). He then completed his Master of Surgery (MS) research thesis in Prostate Cancer at the University of London before proceeding onto his advanced surgical training in the South of England.

He completed his Specialist Uro-Oncology Fellowship at Monash Hospital in Melbourne under the direct supervision of Professor Mark Frydenberg.

Raj holds dual Surgical Fellowships with both the UK (FRCS Urol) and Australasian (FRACS) Royal College of Surgeons. He is well trained in all aspects of Urology with extensive experience in Robotic and minimally invasive treatment of prostate and kidney cancer, complex pelvic uro-oncology and testis cancer, elective and emergency treatment of urinary stone disease, assessment and treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms and haematuria as well as vasectomy

Raj currently works at the Royal Adelaide Hospitals as a Senior Consultant and has held the role of Clinical Supervisor for Urology for over 5-years. He has extensively published research and has presented his work at both national and international academic Urology meetings.

Dr Michael Sandow specialises in the assessment and treatment of disorder and injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He is a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society (immediate past President) and Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia (recent past President), and continues in active clinical practice as well as working on new and better ways to treat upper limb problems.

He is a member of numerous national and international medical associations and regularly presents at local, national and international medical meetings. He has recently completed his PhD (FUSA) on defining an explanation of how the wrist works, and identifying new ways to address wrist injuries. The clinic has recently strengthened its relationship with the Centre of Orthopaedic and Trauma Research, University of Adelaide, to further increase our capacity to conduct cutting edge research to find the best ways to help our patients.

Professor Sandow continues to be involved in the development and delivery of treatment protocols and procedures that incorporate operative and non-operative modalities to ensure patients get the optimum care to achieve best outcomes.
