Our Nutrition service is provided by Fresh Nutrition Dietitians

Fresh Nutrition Dietitians are Accredited Practicing Dietitians dedicated to providing respectful, individualized nutritional services. Using a holistic approach, Fresh Nutrition Dietitians are committed to empowering people to manage and improve their own health and well being.

Our Fresh Nutrition Dietitians can help you with:

  • Diabetes (Type 1 and 2, Gestational Diabetes, Impaired Glucose Tolerance)
  • Achieving and maintaining your most comfortable and healthy weight
  • Nutrition for a healthy heart (if you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, family history or personal history of heart attack/stroke/heart disease)
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (issues with constipation, diarrhea, pain, bloating, flatulence)

A Fresh Nutrition Dietitian will base their advice to you using a  “Non Dieting” approach. They focus on:

  • Helping you achieve balance in your meals and make quality food choices within your lifestyle, family, budget, culture and food preferences.
  • Helping you to eat with awareness (getting back in touch with your body’s signals of hunger and fullness, limiting distractions, eating slowly and enjoying satisfying meal times).
  • Helping you to take the steps to nurture yourself to improve your overall life quality.

Fresh Nutrition Dietitians Bulk Bill (no gap) Medicare EPC Plans (Speak to your GP about these).

Alternately, Private Health Fund rebates apply if you are not eligible for a Medicare EPC Plan (check with your fund).

New Patients

We are currently not able to accept new patients due to being at capacity. We hope to re-open new patient bookings in the very near future.

Fee increases

From 1 January 2022 our fees will be changing. This decision has not been made lightly and is necessary due to the ongoing discrepancy between operating a general practice clinic and low increases to Medicare rebates offered by the Federal Government. A full list of fees is available at Reception. Please speak with our team if you have any questions.

 Changing from Bulk-Billing to Mixed Billing

From 1 January 2022, our bulk-billing policy will change. Bulk-billing will only be available to children under 16, health care card, pension card and DVA Cardholders for an appointment during regular business hours. For patients outside of these groups, there will be a small out of pocket expense for most consultations. We will continue to bulk-bill all Health Assessment and Chronic Disease Management Plans. COVID-19 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before calling our clinic or booking an appointment with your GP, please take a moment to read through these Frequently Asked Questions. They have been developed to help answer some general questions you might have about COVID-19. The information provided is correct as of 13th January 2022.

Coronavirus Health Alert

The threat level of COVID-19 in South Australia is escalated. For the safety of our patients and staff, we encourage telephone appointments (where possible).
If a face-to-face appointment is required, it will be time-limited, and we request that all patients wear a face mask while in the clinic.
We also observe social distancing >1.5m and limit the number of patients in our waiting room.
If you have symptoms of the flu, a cold, or a loss of sense of smell or taste, then a COVID-19 test is necessary. Please refer to the SA Health website for a list of COVID-19 clinics and testing centres.
If you are unwell and have respiratory symptoms, please ask for a telephone appointment with a GP, and a safe review will be arranged.
The Government has restricted Medicare GP telehealth items to circumstances where a patient has COVID-19 and/or is a close contact and is required to quarantine or isolate under a state directive, or where there is an existing relationship with a general practice (i.e., the patient has visited a GP in the practice face-to-face in the last 12 months), children aged under 12 months, or patients who are homeless. Please be aware that a private fee may be incurred for telephone or video consults.
